Zingo ("we," "us," "our") provides a guided practice app for brass musicians, along with related content and products. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Zingo iOS app and zingomusic.com.
Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you join our beta, sign up for updates, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, instrument, and playing experience. If you complete a survey, we collect your responses.
Practice and usage data. The app records information about how you use it, such as sessions completed, exercises played, levels, and progress. This helps the app personalize your practice and helps us improve the product.
Analytics data. We use PostHog to understand how the app is used. This includes events like app installs and opens, device type, operating system version, and general usage patterns. We do not record audio of your playing unless a feature explicitly tells you it is listening, and we do not use your microphone without permission.
Automatically collected data. Like most apps and websites, we receive standard technical information such as IP address, device identifiers, and browser type.
How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve the app and our curriculum
- Personalize your practice experience
- Communicate with you about the beta, updates, and new features
- Analyze usage to make the product better
- Respond to your questions and feedback
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own advertising.

We work with a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

Each provider only receives the information needed to perform its service.
If you signed up for emails from us, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by replying and asking us to remove you.
Children's Privacy
Zingo is designed for musicians of many ages, including students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Students under 13 should use Zingo with a parent's or guardian's involvement.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business purposes. You can request that we delete your account data at any time by emailing us, and we will honor the request within a reasonable period.
Your Rights
